You Won’t Make Dollars If You Don’t use ‘Ad’Sense

As the dust settles and the excitement caused by Google’s AdSense gives way to the normal, everyday routines of old, it’s time to put some serious thought into  how you can “milk this cash cow” on your own web site.
For the past couple months AdSense has dominated forums, discussions, and newsletters all over the Internet. I’ve heard tales of fabulous riches to be made with AdSense, but up until now I’ve been admittedly skeptical of placing
someone else’s ads on my pages.
Why? In short, I didn’t like the idea of losing even a single visitor to another site.
The key to success with AdSense is to place your ads on pages that receive high traffic for high demand keywords. The higher the cost-per-click to the advertiser, the more you will receive per click from your site. It doesn’t pay to
target low cost-per-click keywords and place them on pages that don’t receive hits.
Instinctively, my mind drifted to horrible images in which my homepage was buried in little ads promoting other people’s services. . .
Then I thought of what’s proving to be an excellent idea on my first AdSense page. By placing my first AdSense link on a page that offers free ebooks related to marketing, I successfully blended a mix of two major factors for overall
success.
1.   Target high traffic pages on your site.

I checked my logs and discovered many of my visitors take advantage of the free affiliate marketing resources and ebooks offered on my site. Hmm…
2.   If possible place AdSense links on pages that produce little or better yet, no profit.

By placing AdSense on a free resources page I have drastically reduced the amount of potential customers lost to other sites. Bingo!

End result? A high traffic page producing a minimal amount of revenue. Sounds like a perfect opportunity to pick up some extra cash with AdSense.
This is especially rewarding to informational sites that focus their efforts on delivering powerful affiliate link free content to their visitors. Now they can gain a return on their services.
By no means is AdSense a perfect program, but, I’ve yet to stumble across a program that didn’t have room for improvement in one category or another. My main gripe concerning AdSense is the inability to determine the profitability of a chosen keyword. competitive, high demand keywords will undoubtedly generate larger commissions, but the exact number is withheld by the big ‘G’.

Google promises to update AdSense frequently, tweaking and polishing in order to maintain their ‘squeaky-clean’ image. Who knows, maybe some day we’ll see AdSense add a 2nd tier? Can you imagine the smiles on the faces of webmasters around the world as they sign sub-affiliates and double, triple, quadruple etc… the amount they earn from AdSense!
One particularly handy feature available with AdSense is the ability to filter out up to 200 urls. This gives you the option of ‘blocking’ spammy low value offers from your pages as well as competitors to your site.
The possibilities are limitless, yet looming on the edge of my consciousness is the fear that one day someone will find a way to exploit this ‘golden goose’ and force Google to crack down (much like the pay-per-click affiliate programs of old.). For now they enforce a strict anti-spamming policy, anyone found to be spamming their own links or abusing AdSense by other means will find their AdSense privileges terminated. My advice is quite simple…

Hop on the AdSense bandwagon while you can at:

Using Google AdWords to Increase your Adsense Profits

The truth about Google’s Adsense program is that it is amazing. It’s the greatest  affiliate program ever invented. There is no affiliate program that even comes  close. If you are not using Google’s Adsense, you’re truly missing out on a great opportunity. I’ve tried several other affiliate programs, and the only one that is  creating revenue even close to Google’s, is the Amazon.com affiliate program.  Amazon.com’s affiliate program pays 5% commission and up for shipped  products. It’s not really clear how Google pays you, but let me tell you it seems very fair. They do not pay per clicks, leads, or click throughs; they have a secret  formula that no one will tell. But trust me it works. I was making pennies off of  clicks monthly, until I joined Google. Then the pennies became dollars.

Here are some basic tips for signing up with Google’s Adsense program.

Tip # 1 If you search multiple websites in different categories you’ll find one  thing in common. Almost all of them have Google ads and nothing else. This is  because most other programs are a waste of time. Don’t take my word for it.  Try other programs, but don’t skip Google’s Adsense.

Tip # 2 Google’s search spiders are so specific, that the ads that appear on each page correspond exactly to some element of that page. Therefore, having ads  from other companies is not a good idea.
TIP # 3 You can place text, image, banner ads and even a search box that will  earn your company revenue. Do not place a search box from another company on the same page as Google’s search box. They may stop working with you.

In summary, the Adsense program is a great way to make revenue, has  incredibly targeted ads and don’t use other search boxes on the same page as a  Google search box. If you have any questions about Google’s Adsense program,

The One Simple Trick That Can Double Your Adsense

I’ve been working with Google’s Adsense program for a while now. If you’re not
already in the program, why not take a look at it now at https://www.google.com/adsense. I really like Adsense. It makes me money and it’s easy to work with. Just some simple copy & paste into your webpage and you’re done. Right?
Wrong! You can do it that way if you want. Who knows? Maybe you’ll get lucky and get a lot of clicks. But if you’re really serious about making a lot of money with the program, you’re going to have to tweak it a little.

I’ve invested quite a bit of time experimenting with the program. When I first signed up, I got some clicks and made a tiny bit of money. That wasn’t good enough. I knew there must be a way to get more of my visitors to click on the
ads.
Google has a strict policy about not pointing to the ads in any way or asking people to click on them, so there were two things I couldn’t do. What else was there?
Then I remembered reading an article once that discussed the psychological impact of colors on the human mind. I started researching everything I could find on the subject.
After a lot of reading, many tests and periods of watching my clicks go up and down, I found the one color combination that seemed to work the best.

Testing previously done at supermarkets had revealed that the same product could pull more sales from just changing the colors of the label. What were these colors? Red and yellow! The combination of these two colors has an immediate impact on the person who sees them. They make your eyes stop and focus. They pull your eyes right to that part of the page. They grab your attention! I’m not sure exactly why the combination of red and yellow does this, but it does. On one of my sites, I changed my Adsense ads to a bright red border and a yellow background with black text and URL.

My click through rate more than doubled with just that one simple change. That’s what worked on my site. Your site’s color scheme may work better with a slightly different color combination. Try lots of different color variations. Make a change in the morning and let it ride for the whole day. The next morning, try a different set of colors. Change the border, background, text. Change everything you can. Most importantly, keep detailed records of the color scheme you used, click ratio and revenue generated.
After you’ve done all the experimenting you want to, go back to the most profitable one and let it run for a week or so and see how it does. I’m always trying different colors even after my run of good clicks with red and yellow. There are a lot of color combinations to choose from. You never know when you’ll find just the right one.

How to Monetize Your Free Website

For some time now I have been aggressively marketing my Geocities website without the prospect of any financial return. The site is content based so I did not expect to generate any product sales and neither was I able to lure potentialsponsors.
But that has quietly changed. Google has decided to reward webmasters with quality free websites the chance to rake in some cash for their hard work. Google’s contextual advertising program Adsense has been around since June
2003. Back then the program was open only to webmasters with their own domain names and many quickly took up the opportunity to cash in on their labor of love sites.
When the Big G announced that they were expanding Adsense to accommodate free sites, some people scoffed at the idea because they believe that freebie sites are full of junk. I first learnt of this move while browsing around a few webmaster forums and to my surprise some persons were against this move by Google. I believe that Google’s intention is to bring in as much as possible quality websites under the Adsense umbrella.

My first application for Adsense was rejected and I got an explanation stating that my site was still under construction. I thought that this was a mistake so I reapplied the same day and got accepted. Right away I was able to log in to my account and start putting the code for the ads on my pages. The control panel is easy to understand and Google provides stats and figures in order for you to track your performance. You can also add Adsense for search
where visitors can search the web or your site and you get compensated everytime someone clicks on the ads displayed.

Developing content sites is key to success in Adsense. Why? Because Google’s technology uses the content of each page to guess which ads are most suitable. The higher the quality of the content, the higher quality and paying ads you will attract. Please note that getting accepted into Adsense does not guarantee that you will receive a check from them. Your success depends on many factors. Some of them include the number of visitors, the placement of the ads, the value of the keywords on the page where the ads are shown and how many persons who will clickthru on the Adsense ad panel.

For those with unscrupulous minds, Google has ways and means to find out where each ad click is originating from. Therefore no click spamming. Adsense is a win-win situation for all the players involved. It benefits the visitors
with additional information, the search engines because of higher quality websites and you with a check every month.

It makes perfect sense to make dollars with Adsense. With this source of revenue, you can upgraded your website and take it to it’s full potential.

Stop Being An Ignorant & Broke Affiliate, Learn How To Be A Rich One!

Affiliate Programs:As you read on you’ll see why a 2 tier system gives everyone involved the same Honest opportunity, and WHY everyone involved makes MONEY. And the sweet thing about it.. Every individual Affiliate starts building their OWN Independent, Profitable, Private Little Empire…IMMEDIATELY!

This is ACCOMPLISHED by Affiliates sticking together. Did you know Affiliates are the Largest Group of workers on the Internet? Let’s put that to work for us.
Don’t be saying – To heck with him, why should he make any Money? That means you don’t get it yet. (working together). If you don’t want or think, the Affiliate who introduced you to a great Affiliate program you signed up with (their actually your partner) deserves to make any money on your sales, and you figure you can make the same or more without him. “You better think again”. If every Affiliate thought like that, it wouldn’t be possible for ANY Affiliate in this whole World to make much money. And surprisingly, that’s one of the reasons the majority of Affiliates don’t make any money. That, along with the dishonest schemes just around every corner. ( More info. on schemes, a list of scam advertisers and a scam forum & message board at http://www.moneyhonesty.com/disc2_welc.htm )
Your forgetting that it takes a whole team. Everyone relying on each other to pull their weight. “Team play is EXTREMELY CRITICAL” (It’s the ONLY way you can assure success in an online Affiliate program)

If you truly want to make as much money as you possibly can from your Internet marketing, you *MUST* work together with other Internet marketers (Affiliates). PERIOD. No matter what you are trying to “do” with your life, you will excel at a much faster pace by surrounding yourself and learning from others that are also trying to do the same thing.

You are reading this because you are trying to make money from home as an Internet marketer. You are trying to build wealth by making money from your efforts on the Internet. You can certainly “go it alone” but if you take advantage of how EASY it is to make friends with other Internet marketers, and then to share in their results and experiences, you will make FIFTY TIMES the amount of money than if you only rely on yourself to build wealth with the Internet.

It’s tough for a beginner to “pick and choose” an honest program, tougher yet trying to work with a loosing situation constantly in their face. A good Affiliate program will take care of the “pick and choose”, then all you have to do is work together. It’s quite simple to be doing well as long as your all on the same page. Smart Affiliates actually work WITH & FOR each other, and are achieving their goals. I long for the day when all Affiliates realize that fact.

REMEMBERYour Business will grow by everyone being reliable and working together. So, if you still don’t get it…..read on.
It Gets Better: Your sub-affiliates earn the same high commissions YOU DO, selling and promoting the affiliate products. With a sub-affiliate program (two tier), you have the opportunity to recommend the Affiliate Program to your customers, subscribers, visitors, opt-in e-mail list, etc… and recruit an army of sub-affiliates.

For each sale that one of your sub-affiliates make, you earn a percentage of your sub-affiliates sale above and beyond the high commission that they’re earning! (Your % from your sub-affiliates sales come straight from the owners profit, not from your sub-affiliates earnings.)And this translates into extremely easy residual income straight into your pockets….
There’s nothing like working from home… More and more people are dropping out of the 9 to 5 rat race to offer services /products from home. They start part-time and grow their business until they can finally quite the daily grind that pays them scarcely enough to make ends meet. And more times than not, it’s not enough…

Like I mentioned above, Affiliate programs are filled with “get rich quick” schemes. You must consider each opportunity carefully. Anything that offers big money for no work is a scam. Think about it – they wouldn’t even need you if that was the case. Now the good news… If you put the effort into building your business, Affiliate programs can make working at home a very effective, justifiable and exceptionally profitable choice.
A Comprehensive PlanHaving a comprehensive plan in place from the get-go will help ensure that your affiliate business is built on a solid foundation of loyal customers. With the right approach, you can use a good solid Affiliate program to build lasting relationships with those customers — AND help them grow their own businesses!

The Internet is still young… we have not yet scratched its surface. Start now though, while the opportunities are still great. If you don’t take the initiative now, and get started towards the lifestyle you want for yourself / your family…To cut a long story short – If you do NOTHING, wherever your at now, is where you’ll always be. I can’t predict where your headed, or not headed. But I can say this, DON’T JUST BE A READER – BE A DOER!

If you keep repeating actions which fail, you’ll continue failing. If what you’re doing isn’t working well, it’s time to change it, to move out of your comfort zone and try something new.
However, whatever you do, if you want to start an internet business you have to take action.
Remember The Unwritten Affiliate Rule: Successful Affiliates Work With Each Other, Not Against Each Other. We are all working towards the same end.

Most Guru’s Were Once An Affiliate, Keep That In Mind. Have You Noticed That Group Of Guru’s At The Top Today. They STILL Work Together, Everything From J V’s To Brainstorming New Product “TOGETHER”. They Knew How To Do It Back Then, And Still Do It. We Can Do It Too! If We All Work Together, We Can Be The Next Group Of Guru’s At The Top.
Please keep this intact, so all Affiliates can learn from the above article, and also take advantage of the “Scam Advertisers Blacklistem Forum & Message Board” to put a stop to working relentlessly and then getting beat out of their “HARD EARNED MONEY”
MacD, Author & Webmaster of http://www.moneyhonesty.com Home of Trustworthy Money Making Opportunities.

*** Be very careful about your promotion program, there are many schemes out there where the program is legit, makes huge money, makes fantastic promises to the Affiliate, But you will never, ever get paid.Their mindset – Get free advertising for your Product, compliments of your friendly Affiliate.
I’m an older Affiliate and I’m fed up with it. And I’m doing something about it to help other Affiliates stay clear of these scumbags. Check out the Blacklistem Forum at http://www.moneyhonesty.com/disc2_welc.htm

12 Essential Web Site Design Tips

1. What’s the purpose?

The most fundamental thing to do before designing your web site is to define its purpose. Do you want to sell products directly to your customer through your web site, or collect contact details to develop future relationships? A lot of this will depend on the products or services you sell, those with a larger price tag will require more relationship building than those that would count as an “impulse” purchase. People also use web sites to research products as well as purchase them so a company selling fridges for example may not be able to sell them through their web site (people don’t often buy fridges online!) but they may well be able to direct them to their nearest store where the item they are interested in is in stock.

Identify the purpose of your web site and make sure all the actions you ask the customer to take leads them to the final outcome you have identified.

2. Define the structure

Once you have decided the final outcome you want to achieve, whether it’s a sale, an enquiry, etc. work out a logical progression through the process your customer would need to go through and structure your web site around it. Give the customer the information they will be looking for and help them find it easily and quickly. If you offer a large range of products, use a search facility, if your products carry a detailed specification, add a “click for spec” button which links to further information on an additional page, this way you will not slow those who are ready to buy, but offer the additional info required by those still undecided.

Above all, keep the structure and progression as simple and logical as possible.

3. Decide on an overall design layout.

Most web sites have navigation down the left hand of the page, the company logo graphic across the top and the content of the page below and to the right. Another common layout is to have both the logo and navigation menu along the top of the page and the page content across the page beneath it. As these are the most familiar layouts to users, it would be wise to stick with them as the last thing you want to do is make your web site confusing to your customers.

Avoid too many moving graphics, as they are distracting, avoid large logo-only entrance pages (click here to enter site?) as they only delay the user and avoid anything “cute” that may undermine your professional look.

4. Be careful with colours.

Use contrasting colours for your text, black or blue on a white background is ideal. Don’t forget to check the colours of your text links both before and after they’ve been visited, you don’t want them to disappear. Patterned backgrounds look dated and unprofessional and make your text harder to read, try to avoid them. If you have them, use your corporate colours in your logos, buttons, etc. and keep the overall colour scheme inoffensive, clean and simple.

5. Be consistent.

Put your links or buttons in a prominent place and keep them in the same place on every page. Make sure your colours, navigation, typeface and text size are consistent on every page. Make sure the user knows which page they are currently viewing and provide direct links to the contact and home page on every page of your web site.

6. Don’t get creative with your typeface.

Make sure that your text is easy to read. It’s very tempting to use an unusual typeface but your customers will appreciate text that’s easy on the eye. They want to read your information and not be challenged in doing so. Also remember, when it comes to overall design layout, white space is beautiful. Break up your text into short paragraphs, bullet points, etc. For more detailed advice on designing a professional web site that will achieve high search engine listings and increase customer conversion rates, download our ebook “Start at the Beginning”. Click here for an excerpt: http://www.enable-uk.co.uk/html/book_2.html

7. It’s all in the content.

Once you’ve defined your purpose and planned your layout, design and navigation you should begin to create your content. Once you have decided what pages will be on your web site you will have a good idea of the kind of content that will be needed for each page. Write all the text that should go on each page, decide which graphics or photos to use and remember to space the information out on the page.

This is a critical step. Once you have established credibility with a professional looking design and layout, it’s the content that will either convince your customers to buy, or have them clicking away to your competition. If you are not a professional copywriter, get some help. Either pay a professional to do it for you or for invaluable advice, read our guide “Writing Text That Sells”.

Click here for an excerpt from the book:

http://www.enable-uk.co.uk/html/book_3.html

8. Make it brief

It has been proved time and again that Internet users have a short attention span. They find long pages and acres of text off-putting. Give all the information that’s required but keep it concise, break it up with graphics and try to make your pages as short in length as possible. Don’t make your viewers scroll down more than an extra page height and give your visitors manageable chunks of text that keep them interacting with your site. If your page is longer than this, consider splitting the information over two or more pages.

9. Check your facts, spelling and grammar

Few things are more likely to cost you customers than incorrect information or poorly written or misspelled text on your business website. It will destroy your credibility. Read through all your text carefully and double check all the facts, get someone else to proof read it and run the text through a spell checker after checking your language settings (English – US or UK for example). Then do it all again, twice!

10. Check your web sites download speed

We’ve already mentioned that Internet users have a short attention span. Once your web site is ready with text and graphics on all the pages, check that it loads quickly at various connection speeds and remember that not everyone has a fast connection. Where possible reuse buttons and graphics, as they will load quickly when they have been viewed once.

11. Check browser compatibility

Check how the site looks on different browsers and at different screen resolutions. People use different browser settings to alter text sizes and have additional toolbars filling up their browser windows. Nothing is more frustrating than a site that you can’t read because it is a fixed size and disappears off your screen. Have a look at your web site using http://www.anybrowser.com.

12. Check customer compatibility!

Finally, do a dummy run. Get a typical customer to road test your web site. If possible, ask them to buy a product and let them go through the whole process from start to finish. Did they manage to find what they wanted in three or fewer clicks? Did they find it easy to complete the purchase? How long did it take? Did they become confused or distracted at any point?

Making Good Websites that Stand Out

Websites, there’s literally billions of them out there in cyber-space. How many of them do you go to and just think this is boring, bland, or hard to use? It seems like too many to mention. So what makes a good website? I reckon it’s about interaction. You’ve got to make the visitor interested. You’ve got to grab their attention. Many sites use plenty of bright and shiny gimmicks to attract you, but once you make it through to the content of the site it’s just not worthy. A good site uses easy navigation, relevant content, and interactive media like comments and message boards. If you’re fortunate, whoever builds your site may even have a few tricks up their sleeves to make it really fun with sound, video, and other interactive fun stuff.

Do you want people to come to your site and then tell their friend and family about it? Do you want to have huge amounts of visitors? Do you want to succeed in making your dreams come to fruition on the Web? Make your website exciting! It might be easier said than done, but there are people around whose job it is to construct and design sites for a living. If you can afford it, go for the best. How great is it when you come across a site that has some special feature that you’ve never seen elsewhere? Isn’t it great when you find a site that relates to one of your interests that is simple and easy to get to the information you want? If you want to have people to come back again and again, you’ve got to keep updating the content to keep it fresh and interesting. Have a way for people to communicate with yourself and others who are into the same things. E.G. Forums, message boards and comments. The aim is to catch the ‘viewer’s’ interest.   A lot of sites just look like giant advertisements and you have to search for the needle in the haystack to find out what the actual site is for. I know advertising is a way of making money, but if you want your site to have an authentic, respectable atmosphere that exudes a feeling of integrity, you better be careful. People are becoming wary of this consumer driven, mindless attack at the average civilian’s wallet. Some people will automatically leave a site if a bunch of commercials pop-up on the screen. Pop-ups, don’t even make me go there?   So, the aim of the game is to make a site that offers the public to be part of the action as well as being a source of knowledge or information that is in demand. A simple to navigate, good ‘feel’, and if possible-innovative site is the means to becoming the popular Internet magnate you’ve always dreamed of becoming. Another important fact is the idea of ‘you’. Your website is a chance to put your identity out there in the world. Be yourself. If you try to appeal to an audience in a way that doesn’t reflect your true self, you’re destined to fail. Be honest and speak from your real perspective on life. Give it to us from the heart.
